Haleakala National Park

Haleakalā National Park is home to the dormant Haleakalā Volcano and endangered Hawaiian geese called Nene. The Leleiwi and Kalahaku overlooks on the steep Crater Road have views across the West Maui Mountains. Rugged trails in the Summit District pass cinder cones and lava flows. In the coastal area of Kīpahulu are the Pools of Ohe’o, freshwater pools and waterfalls set amid bamboo forest.

This trip has been a really awesome experience. I got the chance to know many people.

I’ve never been Hawaii also, and it’s a place that I always wanted to go. I’m having an awesome experience camping, which is something really new for me. Right now I’m on a volcano watching the sunset. This is just so incredible and so unique. I ‘m having the chance to see some beautiful places and views.

I want to improve my camping skills with this trip, and also I’m super into being out of the social media (almost 100%). I’ve already made many new friendships and I’m excited to do even more. I’m also looking forward to surfing and to know more about the Hawaiian culture.
