Ross School Bids Retiring Director of Student Support Marty Cooper a Fond Farewell

Ross School announces the retirement of Marty Cooper, Director of Student Support and Upper School Counselor. Marty has been an invaluable member of the Ross Community since 2006, but his experience as an educator spans nearly five decades. Before joining Ross, Marty worked as a school counselor in public and private schools for 36 years. He also spent 11 years as a math teacher for middle and high school students.

“A school’s counselor is its heart and soul, and Marty is the best counselor that I’ve had the privilege of working with,” said Bill O’Hearn, head of Upper School. “He helped everyone in the school—students, faculty, and administrators alike—work toward becoming better people, and he will be missed.”

We are grateful to Marty for his years of dedicated service, and wish him well on his retirement.
